LIFE SKILLS
What do you consider your basic human life skills? Being able to take care of one’s self, to eat, work, go to school, follow rules, etc. Life skills are usually associated with managing and living a better quality of life. They help us to accomplish our ambitions and live to our full potential.
One could consider any skill that is useful in one’s life to be a life skill from tying your shoe laces to using a computer.
What about your pet’s life skills? What skills do they need to develop to have a better quality of life? What about house training? Letting you know that they need to “go” so you can get them to the proper place to eliminate. Crate training? Giving them “their spot” to feel safe and secure; a place where they can just chill or nap. Walking on a leash? Teaching them that they can walk safely and securely with you without causing pain to themselves by pulling. There are many, many skills we can teach our pets to give them a better quality of life.
